Protect your pet from several potentially deadly diseases

Thanks to modern veterinary medicine, dogs and cats are living longer, healthier lives than ever before.

Today’s vaccinations are safe and highly effective at safeguarding companion animals against several potentially deadly diseases, including Rabies and many others. They are affordable, too, and there is simply no better way of helping your furry friend stay healthy.

Here at SimpleVet Pet Hospital, we strongly recommend having your pet vaccinated and encourage you to keep them up-to-date on boosters throughout their life. If your furry friend needs pet vaccinations in Little Elm, we’re here for you!

Core and Non-Core Pet Vaccinations

Pet vaccinations fall into one of two categories: core or non-core. All pets require core vaccines regardless of their environment, age, or lifestyle. On the other hand, only some pets need non-core vaccinations, which are recommended based on the patient’s geographical location and what their typical activities include. During your pet’s appointment, we’ll take the time to get to know you and your pet so we can get them on a vaccine schedule that meets their needs and protects them from the diseases they’re most likely to encounter.
Core vaccines for puppies and dogs include:
  • Canine Distemper Virus (CDV)
  • Parvovirus
  • Rabies
  • Canine Adenovirus
Non-core vaccines for puppies and dogs include:
  • Canine Parainfluenza Virus
  • Canine Influenza Virus H3N8
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
Core vaccines for kittens and cats include:
  • Rabies
  • Feline Herpes Virus 1
  • Feline Calicivirus
  • Feline Leukemia Virus
Non-core vaccines for kittens and cats include:
  • Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV)
  • Chlamydia
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
